Thornton Family Reunion 2008

This July we had our Thornton family reunion here in Utah. Friday night we had a barbecue at our house and the kids had fun roasting marshmallows and playing in our bounce house. That night all the cousins stayed the night in tents in our back yard. I think they had fun but it was hot so I don't know how much sleep they got. The next day we all met at Mike's house and had breakfast. The kids had fun playing in Mike's fountain. Even Sydnie thought it was great. Later we all headed up to Seven Peaks water park. Kaylee especially liked the lazy river. And we even managed to get the girls to go down the big slides a few times.

Trip to Yellowstone

This July we invited our friends the Moultons to spend the weekend up at Shaun's parents cabin up in Island Park, Idaho. We had a lot of fun riding four wheelers that Nancy and Heath Jackson Brought up. We also had a nice day for playing in the water at Island Park Reservoir. The Next day we got up early and spent the whole day in Yellowstone National Park. We were really lucky to come at a time when almost all of the geysers were erupting. We seemed to time everything just right and come when they were just erupting. Except for Old faithful. We missed that by a few minutes and spent over an hour waiting for the next eruption. The falls were beautiful as usual but some of the best look out spots were under construction.

Forth of July 2008

We spent our fourth of July in Oakley Utah. Scott and Audrey Moulton invited us to their parents house in Oakley. Here we all are at the Oakley parade. Later that night we went to the rodeo and watched fireworks sitting in the stands.

Kaylee lost another tooth.

This is Kaylee's third tooth she lost. We didn't manage to get pictures of the other two. I think Grandma Thornton did. Kaylee is a lucky girl. Shaun was so excited that she let him pull the tooth that he told the tooth fairy to give her five dollars.

Syndie 9 months

Here is our sweet Sydnie. I took alot of pictures of her. She was so cute in all of them I couldn't decide which ones to keep.

Sydnie eats an oreo.

Sydnie was just learning to eat solid food at this age. I let her have an oreo cookie and she made short work of it. I know there are people who think its horrible to give babies sweets, but it is just so much fun that I can help doing it every once and awhile.

Brianne's Preschool Graduation

She looked so cute. I made her put hot rollers in her ponytails. She hates that so I had to bribe her with sparkles. Ever since her dance performance she loves me to put sparkles on her face. At the graduation all the children preformed a solo. Brianne of course hates the spotlight and stood there and had a silly smile on her face the whole time.
